Visit this Sunday

What to expect

We would love to welcome you at our worship service at 10 am on Sunday mornings. Just come as you are. There is no dress code (just dress in a way that is respectful of others). We would welcome the opportunity to get to know you, and for you to get to know us.

We understand you may be visiting whilst on holiday, you may be looking for a church home, or you want to find out more about Jesus and what Christians believe. Whatever your reason for coming, you will be warmly welcomed, and we will try to make it as easy for you as possible.

Our worship service usually lasts around 1 ½ hours. We sing songs (old and new), pray, and listen to a talk explaining the Bible and connecting it with our everyday lives and our deepest needs.

Following the service, we share together informally over morning tea – a great chance to chat, catch up, or meet someone new.

On the first Sunday of each month we celebrate the Lord’s Supper (Communion) in the service and we share in a lunch together afterwards (prepared by members of the congregation).

We believe that church is about people, not buildings, and so we seek to love and serve one another. We hope that when you come you will not feel overwhelmed but feel welcomed as a special guest.

Children

During school terms, our Sunday School (for children in pre-school to year 6) meets separately during the last half of the service. There is also a cry room, if required, where you can care for infants or toddlers whilst still watching and listening to the service.

Parking

There is plenty of parking available in High Street (with no restrictions on Sunday mornings). Parking is also available in the medical centre next door, and on the grass on our property.

Public transport

Buses pass near the church along Warrigal Road and High Street Rd. We are also a 10-minute walk from Ashburton train station.
